      Azure Airlines is seeking a thoughtful, dependable, and community-minded volunteer to serve as our Chief People Officer.<\/p>

      The Chief People Officer is responsible for helping build and maintain a positive, professional, and welcoming environment for Azure\u2019s pilots and volunteer team members. This role oversees pilot engagement, recruitment, onboarding, mentorship, retention, internal recognition, and community feedback.<\/p>

      Working closely with the Chief Flight Standards & Training Officer, Chief Pilots, and other members of the leadership team, the CPO helps ensure that pilots feel supported throughout their time with Azure\u2014from initial application and onboarding through continued development and progression.<\/p>

      This is a people-focused leadership role. The successful candidate should be approachable, fair, organised, and capable of balancing community warmth with clear standards and accountability.<\/p>

      Key Responsibilities<\/h6>

      The Chief People Officer will:<\/p>

This role sits at the centre of the airline\u2019s operational network, supporting pilots, monitoring active flights, and coordinating decisions when weather, routing, airport conditions, or other operational factors require adjustment.<\/p>

              Working closely with the Director of Flight Operations, Flight Dispatch Team, Chief Pilots, and Station or Hub Managers, the OCC Manager helps maintain situational awareness across the network and ensures that operational issues are handled in a calm, structured, and practical manner.<\/p>

              This is a detail-oriented role for someone who enjoys the planning and coordination behind airline operations\u2014not just the flying itself.<\/p>

              Key Responsibilities<\/h6>

              The OCC Manager will:<\/p>

              • Monitor active Azure flights and overall network activity<\/li>
              • Support dispatch coordination, route planning, and fuel-planning processes<\/li>

                      Christchurch is Azure\u2019s principal hub and operational home. The Station & Hub Manager helps coordinate the virtual ground operation there, ensuring that arrivals, departures, aircraft turnarounds, gate assignments, and local station activity are handled in a realistic and orderly manner.<\/p>

                      Working closely with the Operations Control Center Manager, Director of Flight Operations, dispatch staff, and fleet leadership, the Station & Hub Manager acts as the main point of coordination for Azure activity at NZCH.<\/p>

                      This role is well suited to someone who enjoys the ground side of airline operations and understands that a successful flight begins long before the aircraft leaves the gate.<\/p>

                      Key Responsibilities<\/h6>

                      The Station & Hub Manager will:<\/p>

                      • Coordinate Azure\u2019s day-to-day virtual operations at Christchurch Airport<\/li>
                      • Manage gate assignments and stand planning for scheduled flights<\/li>

                              Working closely with the Station & Hub Manager, Marketing team, Operations staff, and other members of leadership, the Director helps ensure that Azure feels like more than a schedule and a fleet.                               Key Responsibilities<\/h6>

                              The Director of Passenger Experience & AzureMiles\u2122 will:<\/p>

                              • Develop and maintain Azure\u2019s simulated passenger-experience concepts<\/li>
                              • Help define realistic service offerings across different cabin classes<\/li>
                              • Manage the AzureMiles\u2122 loyalty programme<\/li>
                              • Support mileage accrual, redemption concepts, and elite-status tiers<\/li>
                              • Design promotions, incentives, and member-engagement campaigns<\/li>
                              • Organise online events, group flights, and special AzureMiles\u2122 activities<\/li>
