Azure Airlines (VA) is pleased to announce the arrival of two additional Airbus A320 aircraft, expanding our narrowbody fleet from two to four aircraft.
This fleet expansion marks an important milestone in Azure’s continued growth, increasing scheduling flexibility across the domestic network while laying the foundation for our first international services.
With four A320s now in operation, Azure is preparing to launch regular trans-Tasman flights to Brisbane (YBBN) and Sydney (YSSY), bringing pilots exciting new destinations and introducing international operations to the Azure route network.
The additional aircraft will also improve fleet availability, support increased frequencies on popular domestic routes, and provide greater resilience during maintenance and seasonal schedule changes.
This expansion represents another step toward Azure’s long-term vision of connecting New Zealand with Australia, the Pacific, and beyond.
